Scooters and Tutus...
When I said that I wanted daughters because it would all be so unfamiliar...so new...I never imagined the intricacies of "unfamiliar," and "new," nor did I anticipate the learning curve required to understand just what it takes to deem yourself presentable when there's more estrogen pumping through your veins than testosterone.
Zoey scoots in tutus.
She plays lacrosse in tights and denim jackets.
Zo busts out a fedora to tuck her hair under on the way to swimming lessons.
It's been a living, breathing tutorial on the differences between genders...and it's been awesome.
