She went to bed early...Zoey did. She wasn't listening very well (probably better than a billion kids) and was testing the waters of what was possible in terms of not paying any attention to Mom, so...off she went. Tears, begging, heart wrenching sadness, the whole painful shenanigans. You know what happened in the end? She fell asleep in a sobbing sort of fashion, and we missed the hell out of her. No bath, no playing, no story, nuthin'... Sometimes parenting sucks junk.
